Similar to a PA 12, PA 4000 should be selected for applications that require functional testing, low to mid-volume production runs or prototyping. Even though this material should be processed in an inert environment, PA 4000 does not need to be dried prior to processing which adds to the convenience of use.
Actosed® PA Powder, is a high-level disinfectant in powder form, which is containing peracetic acid and used for the disinfection of medical instruments and endoscopes. Has bactericidal (including Tbc), fungicidal, virucidal and sporicidal action. Shows optimum efficiency with short contact time and provides safe usage. Thanks to its high cleaning power, it can be used for pre-cleaning and disinfection of medical instruments in all kinds of contamination. Actosed® PA Powder is a product that is suitable for daily use, and the minimum effective concentration (MEC) should be checked with the test strips during the duration of use. When Actosed® PA Powder is dissolved in water, peracetic acid is produced.

Actosed® PA Powder has a wide material compatibility when used at recommended concentrations and durations of use. It is compatible with flexible and rigid endoscopes, anesthesia materials, surgical instruments made of stainless steel, thermoplastics, elastomer and glass materials. Product is not suitable for instruments with deteriorated coating nor instruments which are made of copper, brass and anodized aluminum material. Material compatibility of Actosed® PA Powder has been tested and approved by KARL STORZ.

Make sure that all instruments and canals come into contact with the solution during application. Keep the lid of the disinfectant bath closed during use. After the recommended contact time, rinse the medical devices with water of at least drinking water quality, and dry. The solution should be prepared daily and should be replaced immediately in case of dirtiness.
