Jain buys big pipe extrusion line from Battenfeld-Cincinnati at K 2016 Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd, the big Indian plastics processor, ordered a complete extrusion line to make big polyolefin pipes – up to 8.2 feet in diameter – from Battenfeld-Cincinnati Group, at K 2016, the machinery company said in a post-show report.Plastic Board Production Line The large-diameter pipe extrusion line includes Battenfeld-Cincinnati's new solEX NG extruder series, a technology the company highlighted at the K show in Dusseldorf, Germany. NG stands for the next generation of the solEX line. The solEX NG has a completely redesigned process technology, according to Battenfeld-Cincinnati. A barrel with internal grooves is combined with a matching screw and grooved bushing geometry to optimise processing. The result is a lower melt temperature along with a completely changed axial pressure profile in the feed zone and barrel. That cuts energy consumption by up to 15%. “The interest shown by the pipe industry in these new extruders is very lively,” said Battenfeld-Cincinnati CEO Gerold Schley. Customers also checked out the FDC system (fast dimension change) at K 2016. The FDC extrusion system operates fully automatically across a wide range of diameters. It changes the pipe external diameters and also the wall thickness during production, synchronised from the die through the cutting unit. FDC lines cover a wide range of diameters, from 3.5 inches to 24.8 inches. FDC pipe dies equipped with an adjustable melt gap are available for diameters up to 47.2 inches.Schley said Battenfeld-Cincinnati has seldom had as many extruders and machine components at a K show booth before. Extruders premiering in Germany were the solEX NG single-screw extruders and the conEX NG twin-screw series for PVC pipe and profile production. In packaging, the company showed its XXL-Multi-Touch roll stack for high-speed sheet production.Battenfeld-Cincinnati also makes a special three-layer feedblock for extruding thermoforming sheet, made in-house at the company's plant in Bad Oeynhausen, Germany. The company has sold eight of the feedblocks, which use a pin with a milled distributor curve to get an optimal layer thickness distribution. Battenfeld-Cincinnati officials said the company plans to offer this technology in five-, seven- and nine-layer feedblocks in the future. Schley said Battenfeld-Cincinnati had a strong K 2016. “We are really excited about the enormous positive feedback for our trade fair presentation,” he said. “We had many more visitors than three years ago, especially from Africa, Asia and the Near and Middle East, and we received several major orders directly at the fair.”
APET Three layers Plastic Sheet Extrusion Line The equipment is applied in many manufacturing industries such as foodstuff, medical treatment, electronic, printing , plastic box and 3D grating effect product series. Advantage:Plastic Profile Production Line 1. Advanced Siemens controlling system, PLC and Sanken converter built in to achieve precise controlling and stable operation with high speed. 2. SEW servo motor traction system built in the three roller embossing system to raise the precision of the synchronous operation of three rollers to produce flat and uniform PET sheet with international standard. 3. Automatic hydraulic controlling system adopted to easy the net changing process. -The net changer is designed with big-hole diameter to improve the productive efficiency and lower the net frontal pressure for machine safety. 4. The metering pump working in the moveable connection way for convenient operation. 5. Independent safety system applied in the three-roller embossing system. When the materials are running out or the machine stops by accident, the three-roller embossing system will cut off the power and separate from the main equipment for protection of the whole extrusion line. 6. The special structure design of the three-roller embossing system and the tractor make the operators adjust the in/out passage of the sheet 7. The three-roller water circling system working in pressure adjustable double water pipe for independent heating. 8. Two sets of high-power desintegrators are equipped with the extrusion line, which can recycle the waste materials immediately to enhance the production efficiency. 9. The PET sheet cutter and the dual-station winder are equipped with the line to cut and wind the sheets as the operator’s demand. 10. The tractor equipped with a cutter base. For individual cutters can work out flat and uniform PET sheets in different size by easy operation.

Watch a train run through Thailand’s incredible Folding Umbrella Market As far as outdoor shopping venues go, the Folding Umbrella Market in Thailand might just be the most dangerous in the world. At the very least, it’s definitely one of the most fascinating.folding umbrella Located at Thailand’s Maeklong Railway Station in Samut Songkhram province, the popular travel attraction is set up on both sides of a 100-meter stretch of train track. To shelter themselves from the elements, vendors have erected a long row of retractable umbrellas and awnings, which extend right over the tracks. Visitors walk up and down the line, many taking photos or jostling for a position in anticipation of the coming scene. Then, the loud horn of a train punctuates the air. This is when the magic happens. The vendors quickly fold up their awnings, some scooping up the goods touching the track rails. Everyone evacuates the line as the train slides through, with seemingly centimeters to spare.A train passes through the Folding Umbrella Market. Notice how close those veggies are to the tracks. The “folding” market, open daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., sits on a small railway line that runs between Mahachai and Maeklong stations in Samut Songkhram. The majority of the vendors sell fruits, veggies, seafood and meats as well as prepared snacks. How Rooftop Tents Are Reshaping Camping Overlanding, an activity born generations ago in the Australian Outback that involves driving long distances over rough roads, popping a tent and reveling in nature, is growing in North America as more people look for vacations off the grid.roof tent A new category of tents — they fit on the rooftops of pickup trucks — make planning for such an adventure easier than ever, said Michael Repas, an overlander from Chesterland, Ohio.As Repas gets ready to launch into a six-month across the U.S. state, he assembled his ultimate convenience-and-economy overlanding rig: a 2017 Nissan Titan XD 4-wheel-drive, 5/8-ton four-door pickup, topped with a tent. “A rooftop tent is exactly what I need, an instant hotel that sets up in seconds anywhere, in a Walmart parking lot or a remote, dirt-road mountaintop,” Repas said.Bolted to a roof rack, rooftop tents, or RTTs, unfold from a flat rectangle to fully assembled tents in seconds, like pop-up greeting cards, and keep you away from undesirable things on the ground, like sand, snow, scorpions, snakes and lions, which explains their roots in the Outback and the African bush. Although RTTs have been available here for decades — they were a factory option on a 1949 Nash — they went under the radar until a recent rooftop renaissance ignited overland fever and began making inroads into mainstream family camping. After months of research, Repas settled on a soft-top model from Santa Cruz, Calif.-based Tepui that has a reinforced exterior and zip-out windows to facilitate his photography. Here’s a look at that product and two more unique models. Ruggedized Sky 4Tapui, an early RTT pioneer, calls this day-glow orange 210-pounder its “toughest” tent due to its heavy-gauge frame, base and hardware and “ding-proof” 360-gram rip-stop fabric that is 40 percent heavier than the fabric used in its other models. It includes a 2.5-inch high- density foam mattress, rain fly, large internal pockets, anti-condensation mat, 8-foot x 6-foot sleeping area, 8.5-foot telescoping ladder and removable “Sky” screen-panels that allow for unobstructed star-gazing.
