This year's event has attracted 50 top orienteering athletes, including 2018 world junior champion Colin Kolbe of Germany and female European Championships winner Karolin Olsson of Sweden. They will come from about 30 countries and regions to compete in five races - four sprints and one mid-range race - with Chinese runners from Oct 20-29 at the Linqigu Forest Hot Spring Resort, 50 km southeast of Beijing.
Orienteering week was established in 2016 by Beijing-based company Learnjoy Sports, and some of its races have been included in the Park World Tour's (PWT) China series.
Originating from navigation training exercises for military officers, orienteering has developed into a group of sports that requires navigational skills using maps and a compass, physical endurance and teamwork to move from one point to another as quickly as possible in wild terrain.
In addition to the PWT China series' elite group, the 3rd Beijing Orienteering Week also will include the China Orienteering Open, which features different age classes from 10 to 65 to encourage more people from the general public to participate in the fun outdoor adventure.
The event is aimed at pulling together a great orienteering carnival with races, sports tourism promotions and local culture experience, organizers said.
"We hope BOW can be a truly global orienteering carnival, such as the classic Oringen, Swiss O Week and Fin 5 Days," said Tan Xiaoping, the event's director.
Organizing partners include the Beijing Orienteering Association, Linqigu Forest Hot Spring Resort of Langfang and the Outdoor Leisure Sports Association of Funhill.
Jaroslav Kacmarcik, the president of PWT said he hoped that orienteering week will become one of the highest-level orienteering events in the world.
Dinwiddie put particular emphasis on the third part, which is largely beyond a player's control. In 2017-18, he managed to completely change the perception of what kind of player he can be, but he never lost sight of the fact that it took injuries to guards Jeremy Lin and D'Angelo Russell for him to get his chance.

"No matter how talented you are, no matter what you can do, if you're not out there and having the opportunity to do it, it's nothing. At the end of the day, credit the performance staff for working with me all summer. Credit coach Kenny [Atkinson] and Adam [Harrington] for letting me develop and also giving me the leash while I was out there, but with all that, if I didn't play, if I never stepped foot on the court, if Jeremy, D-Lo, all of them are healthy and I'm playing let's say 10 minutes a game, none of that happens. That's the reality of the situation."
There you have it. Talent and confidence is wasted without opportunity. Here are 10 players who have not only shown flashes of brilliance in the league, but should be blessed with a platform to do more this coming season.
If your first reaction is that he's too good for this list, fair. Generally, averaging 24.9 points and scoring 70 points in an NBA game disqualifies you from being seen as an up-and-comer. Booker, though, has yet to gain the full respect of the basketball intelligentsia, and I posit that this is the year it will happen. He didn't make last year's list because he'd played too well the season before, but a summer spent transforming his body after a frustrating season has Pacers fans expecting a new-and-improved Turner. Unlike a year ago, the 22-year-old is entering the season healthy. He wants to play alongside Domantas Sabonis more often, which would allow him to average more than the 28.2 minutes he averaged last season. For that to work, his workouts and yoga sessions will have to translate to him being in the right place at the right time on defense much more often.
Turner has some "unicorn" characteristics, but he looked too much like a traditional big man at times in last year's first-round series against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He will likely continue to increase his 3-point attempts, but the most important thing to watch is how he moves. The ideal version of Turner is a dominant rim protector who can also be trusted to defend the perimeter. A diversified offensive game would be helpful, too -- his shooting makes him a threat, but the Pacers would love for him to earn more touches and finish better on the inside. It's all possible.

But clearly, only the person who attended to you in the first place must attend to you until you are done.
At first I thought I was being an impatient diner until my neighbours called out the waiter to first clear the table and then bring the bill.
After several minutes of waiting without the bill, they got up and paid on their way out of the restaurant. As it approached 10:15pm, the supervisor came to remind us to place our last orders, as the kitchen was about to close.
“But we are still even waiting for the first orders,” complained the diners behind me.
The hotel management also found it easier to write ‘wrong picture’ on several meal pictures than actually print new menu booklets with actual representations. Some prices on the menu are also whitewashed and handwritten to reflect the price changes.

FIFA 19 Review FIFA is comprised of two major player bases: those
that play Ultimate Team, and those that don’t. The latter group has
often felt underappreciated by EA Sports, and once again with fifa ultimate team coins
it has every reason to. I probably play over 500 hours of FIFA every
year. Of those, only about five are spent in Ultimate Team – a mode
primarily designed to eke those £s out of you. I spend most of the year
restarting a career mode with Manchester United every time they lose.
This year confirms what I feared for career mode players like myself:
“Hey, look! Champion’s League! That’s it!”. The FIFA 19 beta came along
and slowly, word got out that career mode was practically unchanged, as
was Pro Clubs. When Konami announced that it would not be renewing the
Champions League and Europa League licenses for PES, FIFA players knew
that could only mean EA would announce the partnership at E3. It’s an
addition that could be truly great, sure, but my fear was that EA Sports
would merely do a bit of a reskin and add some new commentary. Sadly,
that’s exactly what it feels like. Every time FIFA gets a new feature
off the pitch, there’s a sense of “is that the best you could do?”.
Frankly, everything could do with a little bit more effort and thought
put into it. The Journey, FIFA’s story mode, makes a return in FIFA 19,
giving us the final part of Alex Hunter’s journey. This year though,
he’s joined by two more characters: you’ll also play as Kim Hunter and
Danny Williams. While they’re playable briefly in FIFA 18, they take
more centre stage alongside Alex in FIFA 19 with dialogue choices,
training, and matches. It’s moved slightly away from being about Alex
Hunter and his immediate family. Being able to spend more time with Kim
as a playable character offers some more welcome representation of
women’s football, but I can’t help but feel that Danny’s inclusion feels

FIFA 19 SWITCH REVIEW While the fifa coins comprar series has done impressive things on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, the Switch version is still lagging behind. Despite notable upgrades from the very disappointing FIFA 18, including a glossy, Champions League makeover, inclusion of the enjoyable new House Rules modes, and the ability to now play online with friends, FIFA 19 on Switch is still a frustrating and unrewarding experience, especially on the pitch.
FIFA 19’s moment-to-moment gameplay remains, disappointingly, largely unchanged from last year’s under-par outing. Still running on EA’s Ignite engine (last used on the PS4/Xbox/PC version for FIFA 16), it simply can’t compete with the fluidity of movement and authentically animated players the Frostbite-powered versions display. Additionally, the tempo of play is all over the place, with some players boasting ludicrous speed that makes them almost impossible to track as a defender, to others who give the feeling they’re wading through tar as they attempt to turn with the ball.
Passes zip satisfyingly along the grass but fail to reach their desired destination with regularity, because the Joy-Con’s analogue sticks don’t provide the level of accuracy needed to feel completely in control. You’re better off with a Pro controller if you’ve got one. When smooth passages of play do occur it often feels like more luck than skill or judgement due to the inconsistencies with passing, whether it’s a short ball or a long, probing pass. The same can be said of crosses; the same kind of unreliability means getting a forward to connect on the end of a precious cross feels more of a lottery than a well-executed move.
Elsewhere,
the middle of the park often resembles a pinball machine, with the ball
cannoning off of misscontrolling players at a more frequent rate than
you’d expect from professional footballers. You can make challenges on
opposition players, cleanly taking the ball, but ultimately not end up
with possession as the ball trails off into space to a player on the
other team, in turn, becoming unfairly unpredictable. This happens with
regularity and can make each potential tackle a game of chance. The
Switch version really lacks some of the gameplay innovations introduced
to the core FIFA 19 in this regard. The lack of the revamped first-touch
system and the much fairer way 50/50 balls are decided could have gone
